Photography does not end with the shoot; the photographer may take 40-50 pictures in an hour's shoot, all of which must be edited, cropped, lighting adjusted, and retouched before they are given to the customer. This takes several hours of work in the studio. Not all of the 40-50 taken will be used; some will be discarded and only the best will be given for selection. Obscure Observations works very hard to shoot the best photos of you and devotes extra time to presenting you with the very best of those taken.
Corporate Events On-Location Events begin at $500.00 based on an event of 4-5 hours. Prices vary depending on your package needs.  A. EVENING OF CANDIDS - $500.00 - Package includes on-location fee, set-up, and candid portraits of all employees, posed portraits of award winners and designated company officers. CDs will be provided of all photos taken for corporate use. Prints are available and pricing depends on the number and size of photos desired. Employees will receive discounted package rates for prints. These are royalty-free photos.  B. IN THE DOOR POSES - $750.00 - Package includes on-location fee, set-up and formal portraits of each employee (or couple) as they enter the door. Photos will be provided on CD to the corporate office for use in their intranet or newsletter. Online photos will be provided each employee by request. Contact can be made through the corporate office via e-mail; they may select their favorite pose and order from a discount package. These are royalty-free photos. Family Events (Birthdays, Family Reunions, Bridal showers) On location (your home or a restaurant): $200.00, includes travel within the metropolitan area, set up and candid photography of the birthday person and the guests for approximately 2 hours. 4x6 proofs will be provided in prints or online for selection. A variety of photo packages are available. Family Events (Quinceanera, Bar Mitzvah, Bat Mitzvah) The Remembrance II package is especially designed for Quinceanera, Sweet 16 Parties, Bar Mitzvah & Bat Mitzvah. It includes:   A) Travel to the event and approximately 6 hours shooting time,   B) 11x14 print for the parents,   C) 2 5x7 prints (for grandparents, god parents or friends), and   D) 100 finished 4x6 prints for your album. The price for this package is $975. Photographs taken at the Quinceanera would include:   A) Getting ready,   B) Presentation to the guests,   C) Poses with mother and father, grandparents, and close relatives,   D) Cake cutting, toast, gifts,   E) Reception line, and   F) Dancing with father/guests.   G) Candid pictures of the guests at the table or dancing. Photographs will be edited and presented to you in an online gallery to choose your 4x6 photos. If you do not need the 5x7 prints listed above, they can be deducted from your package or used to add six (6) more 4x6's to your album. We also can provide videography. My assistant would be able to accompany me to do the videography. Our price would also include editing of the video and presentation to you on a DVD. The charge for 6 hours of video is $300.00. Reunions Rates will be based on the location, number of people expected and time involved in the shoot. Call with your information and we'll give you a quote. Graduation Special On-location at school: $65.00, includes ceremony shots receiving diploma, hat toss and follow-up candid shots with family and friends.
